15 people including Salman-Anisul-Palak were arrested in 47 other cases

Former Prime Minister's advisor Salman F Rahman, former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Junaid Ahmed Palak, former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun and 15 people have been arrested in 47 separate cases.

These cases were filed by the victims of those who were killed and injured during the anti-discrimination student movement. This includes cases of murder and attempted murder.

On Monday (October 14) morning, they were produced in the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court. After that, the investigating officers of the case requested to show 15 people arrested in these cases in 47 separate cases of 7 police stations.

After the hearing, Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Nurul Huda granted their application to arrest them in these cases. He then ordered them to be sent to prison.


Salman F Rahman was arrested in 17 cases of Motijheel police station, 4 cases of Mirpur police station and 1 case each of Dhanmondi and Badda police stations.

Former Law Minister Anisul Haque was arrested in 7 cases in Mirpur, 1 case each in Badda and Dhanmondi.

Former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun was arrested in 7 cases in Mirpur, 1 in Mohammadpur, 3 in Dhanmondi, 2 in Badda. Junaid Ahmed Palak was arrested in 3 cases in Mirpur, 2 in Badda, 1 in Dhanmondi.

Apart from this, Rashed Khan Menon has been given a total of 3 each in Mirpur-Bada-Dhanmondir Police Station of Hasanul Haque Inu, Badda Police Station of Dipu Monir, Mohammadpur Police Station-2 and Adabar-1 of former Member of Parliament Sadek Khan, Owner and Managing Director of Diamond World Limited, Dilip Kumar One of Agarwal's Badda and Dhanmondi Police Stations, former Deputy Commissioner of Police Moshiur Rahman and Jatrabari Police Station's former OC Mazharul Islam one of Tejgaon Police Station and journalist Farzana Rupa of Mohammadpur Police Station were arrested in a case.

On the other hand, Awami League leaders Rustam Ali and Shahabuddin were arrested in the case of Badda police station.
