Rakib Bhuiyan is a student of Damodar Muktamoyi Secondary School of Phultala Upazila in Khulna. He lives with his parents and sister in a small tin house under a government project in Baranpara of the same upazila. Rakib's father Kamrul Bhuiyan is a van driver by profession. Ma Hasi Begum is a housewife. Despite the poverty, they encouraged the innovative desire of the son.
Because of the poor family, sometimes drove a van, sometimes took a ferry. Still, the enthusiasm of the indomitable teenager did not wane.
According to Rakib Bhuiyan, after more than six months of hard work, the robot named 'Google Onyx' has been created. Sometimes he made this robot by driving a van, ferrying, online coding sales, saving money and bonus money to buy new clothes for Eid. He has spent about 30 to 35 thousand rupees. The robot he created is able to intelligently answer any question, send signals when it sees destructive activity and even defend itself. Apart from this, the robot will be able to assist fire service personnel by providing security guards, weather information, identifying people in the fire. Apart from this, you can also recite rhymes, songs and poems.
Rakib says, people want to create something. I started making robots from that wish and dream. It's a complete robot. If done better, the robot could be modernized. It will serve the people. This will work in the welfare of the fire service. This robot can be used when there is a fire or smoke in a room. When the robot is released, it will automatically detect the human and send the location to us. According to that location will identify the person and assist the fire service in the rescue work. Apart from this, it will give alarm and call in case of gas leakage and fire. Apart from this, this robot can be used for various tasks.
He plans to develop more updated models of the robot and sell them commercially in the future. Eager people from far and wide are flocking to the news of his robot creation.
Rakib's family is happy that the robot is now working. Rakib's mother Hasi Begum said that Rakib made the robot with great difficulty. Driving vans, ferries. We could not help him (Raqib) much. Yet he made it. It feels so good. Now Rakib will be able to do better if he gets the support of the government.
Rakib will be given financial and technical support at the public and private level to utilize his talents - that is the expectation of those concerned.
Ashraful Islam, Honors second year student of Rakib's nearby BL College, said that despite not having any institutional knowledge, Rakib has developed a robot with the help of the internet. It is very pleasant and uplifting. Rakib will improve if he receives formal education in this subject. It will be useful for the welfare of the country.
He said, at least one unemployed boy will not be created, will work as an asset of the country. For this, the total help and cooperation of the government is required.
Fultala Upazila Executive Officer Tasneem Jahan said that school student Rakib made the robot with his own efforts. I talked to him. I will visit his house soon. I will tell the district administration and the Ministry of Science and Technology how to further support him in making this robot. The upazila administration will work with its full cooperation.
