Jumbangla Desk: A defamation case of Tk 100 crore has been filed in the name of Shami Kaiser for distorting the history of the liberation war and insulting former President Ziaur Rahman at various times.

Rezwan Kabir, son of Gazi Imam of Darimagura Sardar neighborhood of the city, filed the case in the name of Shami Kaiser in the Magura Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Monday (October 14).

According to the case, the case was filed because Shami Kaysa made various insults with the aim of ruining the reputation of Ziaur Rahman.

Kazi Minhaj, the lawyer of the case, said that the statements made by the accused have caused a defamation of Tk 100 crores.

He said the plaintiff filed the case in court. Judge Humayun Kabir of that court took cognizance of the case and ordered the PBI to investigate the case.
