Apart from food, medical supplies and relief supplies, the plane, which took off from Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, also sent a volunteer team for rescue operations.


The first Saudi relief plane landed in Beirut on Sunday with more than 40 tons of food, medical and relief supplies.

The second relief plane from Saudi Arabia is going to Lebanon with 30 tons of relief goods on Monday morning local time.

Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Rabiyyah, head of the Saudi aid organization KS Relief, said that this initiative has been carried out by Saudi Arabia to help people around the world.

Israel has launched airstrikes in Lebanon since September 23, killing thousands and displacing more than 1.3 million.

In addition to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Romania and France have sent aid to Lebanon.
