Mirpur-10 station of Metrorail has reopened

From today (October 15) morning, passengers can travel by metro rail from this station.


In a press conference at the DMTCL office in Uttara on Monday, Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Mohammad Abdur Rauf said that the Mirpur-10 station of Metro Rail will be operational from Tuesday morning after 87 days. Advisor Mohammad Fawzul Kabir Khan will inaugurate the station.


Asked how much has been spent on repairing the station, the DMTCL MD said, 'We are working to estimate it. Adviser will let you know how much has been spent at the time of opening. No contractor or foreigner was needed to fix the station. DMTCL has fixed two stations. Local resources are used. Apart from this, some things have been taken from some metro rail stations.'


He said, 'Metro rail headway (time between two trains) will be reduced to 12 minutes instead of 12 minutes during off-peak hours from next Friday. It will run 72 trains a day instead of 60.
