Jumbangla Desk: Awami League presidium member and former civil aviation and tourism minister Lt. Col. (Retd.) Farooq Khan has been arrested.

Law and order forces arrested him from his house in Dhaka on Monday night.

DB Additional Commissioner Rezaul Karim Mallick said that RAB handed him over to DB police after his arrest.

Farooq Khan was born on September 18, 1951 in Dhaka. He left the military service and got involved in Awami League politics.

Lt. Col. (Retd.) Farooq Khan was elected Member of Parliament six times from Gopalganj-1 Constituency.
