The first meeting of the Constitution Reform Commission was held virtually on Sunday evening under the chairmanship of the Commission's chief Professor Ali Riaz.

Commission member Professor Sumaiya Khair, Barrister Imran Siddique, Professor Mohammad Ikramul Haque, Barrister M Moin Alam Ferozi, Feroze Ahmed, Md. Mustain Billah and Md. Mahfuz Alam. Commission member Dr. Sharif Bhuiyan could not attend as he was on tour.

At the beginning of the meeting, the martyrs and oppressed in the liberation war, the victims injured in the establishment of democracy, the martyrs and the injured in the anti-discrimination student movement were remembered and prayed for the salvation of their souls.

In the meeting, the commission's work scope and working methods were discussed. It was soon decided to set up an email account and soon a web site to communicate with the commission. It was decided to hold the next meeting of the commission on October 21 at the office of the commission in Dhaka.

It should be noted that the work of setting up an office for the commission in the Sangsad Bhavan area is underway on behalf of the government.
