The police arrested the general secretary of Union A.League in Bagha of Rajshahi. He was arrested on Monday (October 14). Zahidul Islam Zahid is a resident of Hedatipara Bausa village.

It is known that Awami League leaders and activists attacked Chhatra Dal activist Zahid Hasan's business establishment in Kishorepur Bazar of Pakuria Union at 11 am on August 25 with hasua, iron rods, Chinese axes, hockey sticks and pistols. Later, a few cocktails were detonated and the business establishment was set on fire.
In this incident, Zahid Hasan filed a case on August 26 as the plaintiff, mentioning the names of 141 people and 100-150 unknown people. The accused in that case is Zahidul Islam Zahid.
Meanwhile, the police arrested three people named Shimul Hossain, Sabbir Hossain and Palash Ahmed from Bagha Mazar area. Their house is said to be in Maniharpur area of Lalpur.
Bagha police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Siddique said that Zahidul Islam Zahid was arrested in the shop burning case. Others are being interrogated.
