Sports Desk: Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah are now at the center of discussion in Pakistan cricket. After the three stars were dropped for the last two Tests of the three-match series against England, discussions and criticisms have spread everywhere. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has opened up about the hot topic.

Shahin Afridi has taken a somewhat exceptional stand. While many former and current cricketers criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for dropping Babar, Shahid Afridi praised him. That is, the decision to exclude the three stars is reasonable for this former cricketer known as 'Bumboom Afridi'.

Shahid Afridi has also argued for his opinion. He believes the elimination will help prolong the career of the trio. At the same time, young, intelligent and talented cricketers will also get a chance to prove themselves. If any emerging stars are found, the PCB will also get a chance to groom them.

The former captain feels that if good cricketers are available, Pakistan's bench will also be strong. In that case, they can be used as back-up to champion stars like Babar, Shaheen and Naseem. This will make the country's cricket stronger.

Afridi wrote on his X account, 'Fully support the selectors' decision to suspend Babar, Shaheen and Naseem from international cricket. This move not only helps protect and extend the careers of these champion players. Rather, it also provides a great opportunity to experiment with emerging talent and build a strong bench. It will become energy for the future.'

Meanwhile, a PCB spokesperson mentioned that the decision to drop Babar was taken for the good of Pakistan cricket. The PCB also mentioned that they have been rested so that they can perform better in the upcoming games.

Earlier, Pakistan lost by an innings against England despite scoring 556 runs in the first innings. After that PCB changed the selection committee. Aleem Dar, Akiv Javed, Azhar Ali and Hasan Cheema became the new members of the committee. Then came the shocking decision to drop Babar.

Today, Tuesday, Pakistan entered the field in the second Test against England. The game started at 11 am Bangladesh time.
