On the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja, import-export activities have started through Hili land port after a 6-day holiday. The operation started on Tuesday (October 15) at 12:30 pm when a truck loaded with green chillies from India entered Hili land port.

Confirming the matter, Nazmul Hossain, General Secretary of Import-Export Group of Hili Land Port, said that import-export trade was closed for 6 consecutive days from October 9 to October 14 on the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja. Import-export activities have started again from today. Several products including green chillies, onions are being imported through this port.
Meanwhile, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hili Immigration Checkpost Ariful Islam said that although the import and export through Hili Port was closed on the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja, passengers with valid passports and visas were able to cross Bangladesh and India normally through this immigration check post. All immigration operations are open daily from 9 am to 6:30 pm.
