The wealth has been built in the country and abroad through student admission trade, drug trade, gold smuggling, subscription from businessmen, recruitment trade, tender trade, aircraft purchase corruption and illegal allocation.

The illegal assets include shares in various companies including 25 houses in London in the name of Rashed Khan Menon, 5 houses in Canada in the name of his wife and 2 houses in America. On the other hand, it is alleged that he owns 4 flats in Gulshan of Dhaka and 2 flats in Banani and thousands of bighas of land outside Dhaka and Dhaka. Apart from this, it is said to have acquired 1.5 thousand crore taka and immovable assets in the name of himself and his relatives.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) decided to conduct an open investigation after finding evidence of corruption in the allegations. Recently, the process of appointing the Inquiry Officer is going on soon after the decision of inquiry has been taken.

A senior officer of the ACC, who did not disclose his name, said that in the changed situation, ACC is conducting investigations against former ruling ministers-MPs and bureaucrats as part of the ongoing anti-corruption activities of the country. According to the complaint, Rashed Khan Menon, president of the Workers' Party, became a Member of Parliament for Dhaka-8 Constituency and became the Minister of Social Welfare and Minister of Aviation and Tourism. From 2009 to 2016, he embezzled hundreds of crores of rupees by illegally recruiting teaching staff as the president of Wills Little Flower School and College, Vikarunnecha Noon School and College, Adial School and College. Student/student admission trade, drug trade, gold smuggling business, collection of extortion from businessmen, extortion from casino business, recruitment trade during the tenure of social welfare and aviation and tourism minister, tender trade, purchase of aircraft, illegal allocation of 20 to 25 thousand through fake vouchers He has built a mountain of wealth in the country and abroad by illegally acquiring crores of rupees.

According to the complaint, Wills served as the president of the board of directors of Little Flower School and College of Kakrail in the capital from 2009 to 2016. At that time, he illegally disobeyed the order of the Ministry of Education and misused his power to appoint assistant teachers, accountants, high-ranking assistants, office assistants, office assistants and security guards. During his tenure, he employed 182 people and grabbed around 14 crore rupees.

Apart from this, 27 assistant teachers in that institution were illegally promoted to lecturer positions and accepted bribes of Tk 2 crore 70 lakhs. Similarly, by promoting 15 lecturers to the post of assistant professor in 2012, he took a bribe of 1 crore 80 lakh from 15 people by paying 1.2 million taka from each of them. The source of the complaint also says that between 2009 to 2016 and 2022 to 2024, the retired teachers and employees of the institution have been embezzled by illegally taking 40 percent of the money and paying 25 to 30 crore rupees. And Rashed Khan Menon, during his tenure as Minister of Social Welfare and Minister of Aviation and Tourism, acquired illegal wealth of at least 15 thousand crore rupees through corruption and irregularities including illegal recruitment, tender trade, gold smuggling, illegal allocation of aircraft purchase and allocation.

On the other hand, he bought 4 flats at Gulshan-2, Road-5, House No-27 in Dhaka which is worth Tk 15 crore. Banani Road No-4, House No-16, 2 flats worth Tk 9 crores, 160 bighas of land worth Tk 450 crores in Ashulia and Savar in Dhaka, 1 plot of 10 katha and 4 plots of 5 katha worth Tk 40 crores in Purbachal and 20 bighas of Tk 250 crores in Keraniganj South Highway Road. Purchased the resort with the land.

And 300 bighas of land worth 3 crore taka in Uzirpur police station of Barisal district outside Dhaka, FDR in his own name, in the name of his wife, in the name of his brothers, in the name of his children and in the name of different people in different banks of the country.
