Jumbangla Desk: The stage of BNP's harmony rally collapsed under the weight of activists in Sirajganj. About 15-20 leaders and activists of the district and upazila BNP and its organizations were injured when the stage was broken, including the former member of Parliament of Sirajganj-4 (Ullapara) constituency, Advocate Shamsul Alam.

Sirajganj District BNP organized this harmony rally on the occasion of the return of BNP Standing Committee member and former State Minister for Power Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tukur to Sirajganj.

Yesterday Thursday (October 17) around 5 pm, the incident took place on the new road of Sirajganj Bazar station area.

Earlier, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku attended the harmony rally yesterday around 4 pm.
It is known that the presence of Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku in Sirajganj created a different enthusiasm among the activists. Many of the leaders and activists in the rally disobeyed the ban and got on the stage. Before Tuku's speech, Amirul Islam Khan Alim, who was in charge of BNP's Rajshahi division co-organizing secretary, suddenly collapsed while delivering his speech.

Several leaders of BNP and its organization said that there is a different excitement among the leaders and activists after the arrival of Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tukur in Sirajganj after 2 long years. Many flocked to the stage to see him and stand on the stage with him. Due to their excessive pressure, this undesirable incident happened. About 15-20 leaders and activists of the district and upazila BNP and its organizations were injured, but none were seriously injured.
