According to sports media ESPN, Messi's current club Inter Miami can be invited to the 2025 Club World Cup to be held in a new format. FIFA, the highest governing body of football, is going to take a decision on this matter soon.
The FIFA Club World Cup will start anew in 2025 with 32 teams for the first time. And Inter Miami has been included in the list of Major League Soccer (MLS) teams participating in this tournament. An official announcement of the team's participation could be made next week, according to ESPN.
