In this reality, the President held a closed-door meeting with the Chief Justice on Tuesday, two advisers. According to several sources of the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice was proposed to be the next President in that meeting of the legal adviser and the information adviser. In the meeting that lasted for about an hour, Chief Justice Syed Refat Ahmed politely turned it down. At the moment, he wants to fulfill the duties of the Chief Justice.

Supreme Court lawyers say that whether the country will continue within the constitutional framework or find a new way should be clarified quickly.

Supreme Court lawyer Shishir Monir said, this matter needs to be clarified. If it wants to stay within the constitution, then it will go with the constitution mechanism. And if they want to go beyond that, then they have to tell them what will happen to the current constitution. Only then will it be clear that the President is resigning, not leaving. Otherwise everything needs to be made clear what is the position of the interim government or whether it is in the mechanism.

Supreme Court Bar Association lawyer Ruhul Quddus Kajal said the President will submit his resignation to the Speaker. Since the Speaker has resigned and is now void, the Deputy Speaker is unable to function, we know that he is in jail. So constitutionally the President has no opportunity to submit his resignation letter to the Speaker. In that case, my opinion is that if the President wants to resign at any time, he will resign himself. It is not necessary to address this resignation to someone.

Poet Mahadev Saha said, there is no constitution bigger than the heart, but in Bangladesh, the heart of the constitution was taken to the brink of destruction by removing the thorn several times. In the meantime, the Constitution Reform Committee has been formed. Maybe a new decision about the constitution will come again. Source: Channel 24
