Jumbangla Desk: Md. was shot in Narayanganj during the anti-discrimination student movement. A case of murder has been filed against Shamim Osman, a former member of Parliament, in connection with the death of a young man named Riaz. In this, 192 people have been named and 300 people have been identified as unknown accused.

Farzana Begum (25), the wife of Riaz who was killed on Wednesday (October 23) afternoon, filed the case at Fatulla Model Police Station as the plaintiff.
The notable accused in the case are Shamim Oman's son Ayan Osman, nephew Ajmeri Osman, Siddhirganj Thana Awami League president Mojibur Rahman, general secretary Yachin Mia, nephew of accused Noor Hossain who was sentenced to death in seven murder cases and former councilor of Ward No. 3 of Narayanganj City Corporation Shahjalal Badal, his uncle. Former councilor of ward number four Nur Uddin and others.
In the statement of the case, the plaintiff mentioned that during the movement of the students and the public on August 5, the defendants fired cocktails and fired guns in front of the passport office in the signboard area of Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road. At this time Riaz was shot in the chest. Later he was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared him dead. After getting the news, the family members went to the hospital morgue to identify Riaz's body and the next day on August 6, his burial was completed in his locality.
The deceased is the son of Abdur Rob of Didarkhan Char Khalifa area of Char Daulatkhan Upazila of Riaz Bhola. Currently they live in East Gopalnagar area of Baktabali Union of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fatulla Model Police Station Shariful Islam confirmed the case.
