Jumbangla Desk: It is reported that police verification is starting for the 2nd time to find out the BCL leaders and activists who were appointed to the police during the Awami League government to find out the political philosophy of the police officers appointed to six BCS. A letter in this regard was reportedly issued by the Special Branch (SC) of the police on October 20.
Police
According to the information, eight police officers posted in 28th, 35th, 36th, 37th, 40th and 41st BCS will be verified. Also his political identity, family background and role in campus politics will be seen.
An officer not below the rank of an Assistant Superintendent of Police has been asked to file the report with utmost confidentiality. The report asked to attach the officer's name, date of birth, national identity card, active multiple phone numbers, e-mail, Facebook, TIN number and passport number.
The letter said, the confidential report should give the name of the school, college, university attended by the officer, session and subject studied and location/residence hall. In addition to the information on involvement in student politics, if the candidate is studying in another district, he should confirm his political involvement by contacting the concerned district.
(Information on political involvement during the course of study should be collected by collecting the name of the educational institution from the original verification document retained).
Apart from this, it is mentioned in the letter that the name, address and mobile number of two friends each from the college/university, the records of the concerned police station (CDMS information) should be verified. It is also said that apart from the political affiliation of the candidate, the information should be given whether he is involved in any kind of militant affiliation or not. Detailed information about the candidate should be collected from local dignitaries of the area, acceptable public representatives, journalists and his contemporary friends.
