Despite not giving any official statement on this matter, Sarjis Alam said on social media that there was no writ regarding the banning of Awami League as a party. Rather, the court's guidance has been sought regarding why the 3 elections held under the supervision of the party should not be declared invalid and the benefits received at different times should not be returned. The writ petitioner said that Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah will officially explain it later.
