These onions are poured on the floor of the warehouse and dried with a fan and the workers are sorting. And these onions are being sold at low prices. When asked why so many onions have been poured into Adar, Artdar Abdus Salam said that onions imported from India are mainly sold from land ports. But since the quality of onions is bad, the onions have been taken to the storage room. There is drying on the floor with a fan. After that selection is done with workers. Good onions are taken in a separate room. They are being sold at 60 to 80 taka per kg. Some low quality onions are being sold at Tk 20 per kg. And some are being sold at the price of Tk 300 per bag. Even some onions should be thrown away.
Abdullah Al Helal, onion importer of Hili land port, said, 'The onions we are importing are loaded from south of Bangalore. Then it takes 6 to 7 days to arrive at the port. The entire road is covered with onions. As a result of excessive heat and adverse weather conditions, intermittent rains resulted in the onions sweating in the car and a large part was lost. They are being brought to the warehouse and dried with fans.'

He also said, 'Many people say that traders increase the price by syndicating. This time, the businessmen asked the journalists to see the picture, what happened to the onions.
Even though he could not calculate how much money will be lost, he said, 'I have to count many big losses.'
According to Healy Customs, about 1,000 metric tons of onions were imported in 34 Indian trucks on Saturday, the first day of the week.
