Jumbangla Desk: The court has ordered death penalty for 5 people in the controversial Zahid murder case of Khalishpur area of Khulna. They have also been fined one lakh rupees.

Judge Md. Jewel Rana of Khulna Public Security Crime Prevention Tribunal gave this order on Monday afternoon.
Apart from this, another victim of the case against the same accused, the deceased Zahid's elder brother Javed, has been sentenced to 3 years and 7 years of rigorous imprisonment under Sections 324 and 307 of the Penal Code and a fine of Tk 5,000 each. .
Besides, 7 people were acquitted.
The defendants sentenced to death are Md. Abbas Ansari, Nashu Faraji, Riaz, Nadeem and Jabbar.
The acquitted accused are Md. Rana Hossain, Sultan alias Gabbar, Pati Sagar, Md. Omar Farooq alias Arif, Md. Mehedi Hasan alias Packet Mehedi, Md. Zahidul Islam Zahid.
According to the sources of Ezahar, Sabbir Hossain's elder son Jabed, a resident of Khalishpur housing strait area, had a previous dispute with some criminals in the area.
