Jumbangla Desk: In Jamalpur's Sarishabari, the crowd arrested three persons with the identity of the coordinator and handed them over to the police while collecting donations by breaking the name of a cancer patient.

The incident took place on Tuesday (October 29) afternoon at Moolbari Railgate area of ​​the municipality.

The arrested are Rifad Hasan, a resident of Ballia village of Doyle Union and second year degree student (girl) of Sarishabari Mahmuda Salam Mahila College, son of Badal Mia of Char Pogaldigha village of Pogaldigha Union and first year student of Class XI of Sarban Hasan Technical and BM College and Rudra Baira Ekushe Mor of the same union. Sifat Ahmed, son of Suruj Ali of the area and first year student of Class XI of Alhaj Memorial Degree College.

The detained female student said, 'On the instructions of anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Akul Mia, we collected donations from various business organizations in the name of saving a cancer patient. I deposit the daily money withdrawn to the coordinator Akul Mia at night. We don't know what he does with this money.'

When trying to contact Akul Mia to know about this, her phone was found switched off.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sarishabari Police Station. Chand Mia said, they are ordinary students. The guardians have been released on a surety not to commit such fraud again.
