Jumbangla Desk: Shakib Al Hasan has retired from two formats. Now he is likely to be seen in the national team only in ODIs. Bangladesh's next ODI series starts on November 6, against Afghanistan.

As the upcoming series is an ODI version, there were discussions about whether Shakib Al Hasan will play or not. BCB President Farooq Ahmed spoke about whether Shakib will be in the series or not before the board meeting on Wednesday.

Facing the media, Farooq said, 'Shakib is available for selection in the ODI series against Afghanistan. Since the team has not given yet, it means that he is available.'

Earlier, Shakib had pushed the ball at BCB's coat in a reaction to the upcoming series. He told Cricbuzz, 'How can I say it, BCB should say it.'

Earlier, Shakib had announced his retirement from Test and T20 cricket during the series in India. He said that he did not want to prolong the ODI career too much. Shakib wants to retire from ODI cricket by playing the Champions Trophy in Pakistan next year.

Will enter the field in the first ODI against Afghanistan on November 6 in Sharjah. The second and third ODIs will be held on November 9 and 11 at the same venue.
