The Ministry of Religion has announced two packages for those who want to go for Hajj next year from the country. According to the announcement, the cost of general Hajj Package-1 has been fixed at 4 lakh 78 thousand 242 taka. And the cost of general Hajj package-2 has been estimated at 5 lakh 75 thousand 680 taka.
One of these two packages is for those who will stay within one to one and a half kilometers from the Kaaba Sharif and the other within two and a half to three kilometers from the Kaaba Sharif for performing Hajj.
Besides, the cost of general Hajj package through private means has been fixed at Tk 4 lakh 83 thousand 156. It is 1 lakh 6 thousand 644 taka less than last time.
Incidentally, the government has already announced that no one who is not associated with Hajj management will be taken to Hajj at government expense. The ministry said that the cost of Hajj Package-1 has been reduced by Tk 1 lakh 9 thousand 145 this time.
And in package-2, the cost has decreased by about eleven thousand taka. This time 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 people can go for Hajj from Bangladesh. There is a plan to take 10,000 people under government management.
According to a press release from the ministry, accommodation will be provided within three kilometers from the premises of the Haram Sharif in Makkah and within a maximum of one and a half kilometers from the Masjid Nabawi in Madinah for those who will go to the General Hajj Package-1 through the government. There will be bus arrangements for traveling to Haram Sharif in Makkah.
In this package Mina Tabu will be located in Green Zone (Zone-5) and 'D' category service will be available at Mina-Arafa. General Hajj Package-II through government will provide accommodation within one and a half kilometers from the compound of Haram Sharif in Makkah and Markaziya area in Madinah.
Hajj pilgrims of both the packages will have transportation from Makkah hotel or home to Minar Tabernacle by bus and Mina-Arafah-Muzdalifah-Mina by train. Besides, food will be served by Muallem in Mina and Arafa.
Both the packages will have accommodation of maximum 6 people per room with attached bathroom in house or hotel in Makkah and Madinah. There will be a refrigerator in the hotel. Apart from this, the Bangladesh government will provide free medicines and first aid services to pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah.
The Holy Hajj will be held on June 5, 2025 subject to moon sighting. This year 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 people from Bangladesh will have the opportunity to perform Hajj.
