Jumbangla Desk: Union Administrative Officer (Secretary) Minarul Haque has been accused of illegally creating 459 birth certificates in 6 days by changing the mobile number and password of Charshulmari Union Parishad Chairman AKHM Saidur Rahman of Roumari Upazila of Kurigram . The chairman gave a written complaint to the Upazila Nirbahi officer in this incident last Monday.

On Thursday (October 31), Chairman AKHM Saidur Rahman Dulal complained that, without his knowledge, from October 15 to 20, the administrative officer of Charshulmari Union Parishad illegally created and distributed birth registration certificates of 459 people by changing the mobile number and password of their birth registration ID ( Secretary) Minarul Haque. About 97 percent of which has been done in the name of people of different districts and divisions. UP members, village police and people of the area could not identify those license holders. Chairman and locals believe that these registrations are likely to be Rohingyas and people associated with various crimes. However, their demand is to cancel these registrations and demand maximum punishment for those involved.

The chairman also complained that Secretary Minarul Haque joined Charshulmari Union Parishad on August 18. He is absent from the Union Parishad on all days except the joining day. Because of this, he has been given show cause notices more than once. As he did not come to the council, the activities of the council have come to a standstill. Common people are deprived of services.

Secretary of Charshulmari Union Parishad Minerul Haque said, 'Investigation regarding the complaint is ongoing. If I am guilty in the investigation, I will take the punishment that will be given to me.'

Roumari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kazi Anisul Islam said that one such complaint has been received. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
