Jumbangla Desk: This week, the trading ended in the country's capital market with a big fall in the index. The market capitalization of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the main capital market of the country, has decreased by Tk 12 thousand 298 crore within a week. This information is known from the weekly updated report of the capital market.
During the week, the market capitalization of DSE decreased by 1.84 percent or 12 thousand 298 crores. On the last working day of this week, DSE's market capitalization stood at Tk 6 lakh 56 thousand 868 crore. On the last working day of the previous week, this capital was 6 lakh 69 thousand 166 crores.
All indices of DSE also fell this week. The main index DSEX fell by 143.38 points or 2.73 percent. Besides, the DSE-30 index fell by 51.22 points or 2.65 percent. And the DSES index fell by 30.12 points or 2.57 percent. However, despite the decline in the index, the volume of transactions on DSE increased. Total transactions in DSE during the week were 1 thousand 693 crores 42 lakhs. In the previous week, the total transaction was 1 thousand 272 crore 2 lakh taka. In one week, the transaction increased by Tk 421 crore 40 lakh.
Meanwhile, the average transaction per working day increased by Tk 20.68 crore or 6.50 percent. An average of Tk 338 crore 68 lakh was traded on DSE every working day last week. In the previous week, the average daily transaction was Tk 318 crore. Shares and mutual fund units of 396 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Among them, the share prices of 63 companies increased, 306 companies decreased and 27 companies remained unchanged.
