A permanent solution to the Palestinian problem in the Middle East can be achieved through the formation of a state between Palestine and Israel. There is no alternative to political consensus in this regard. The struggle of Bangladesh and the struggle of Palestine are one and the same. Here too people are fighting against imperialism.
The speakers said these things at the international seminar titled 'Palestine-Israel Crisis: Solution Which Way' organized by Bangladesh Congress at Maulana Akram Khan Hall of National Press Club on Saturday. They said that a democratic independent state called 'Jerusalem' or 'Canaan' should be established in the original Palestinian territory under the supervision of the United Nations. Where Muslims and Jews will live together.
They also said that Palestinians should be treated as human beings and not as Muslims, and they should be allowed to live normally. The United Nations or the superpowers of the world are not fulfilling their proper responsibility towards Palestine. Even the Muslim world is busy with their own interests. Muslim countries should unite and take initiatives to solve the Palestinian problem. But not through war or conflict, the Palestinian-Israeli problem must be solved politically and diplomatically.
Senior lawyer Mohsin Rashid said in the seminar that Israel has dropped thousands of tons of bombs in the Gaza Strip. Women and children are being killed indiscriminately there. About 50,000 people have been killed so far. But Arab League, OIC has no headache about this. Only Iran stands for them.
Writer and political analyst Farhad Mazhar said that there is no Muslim-Jewish struggle in Palestine, there is a struggle against imperialism. Our students started that fight on August 5. Our struggle is no different from the international struggle. Our struggle is no different from that of Iran. We are fighting against US imperialist power. Those who are doing industrial killing. They have no economy, their only economy is selling weapons. He said that Awami League would play. But the youngsters have shown what the game is all about. This struggle will end with the liberation of Bangladesh and the Palestinian people.
Chairman of Bangladesh Congress Adv. Kazi Rezaul Hossain said that even though people have reached the peak of civilization, Israel's brutality towards Palestinians has questioned human civilization. No one sees the plight of the Palestinians who have lived decades of inhumanity.
