Jumbangla Desk: 4 leaders and workers of BNP including three brothers were shot dead in Naogaon. The incident took place around 10:30 pm on Saturday at the Yad Ali intersection of the city.

The injured were rescued and taken to Naogaon Sadar Hospital and later to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for treatment.

The three injured brothers are Afzal Hossain's son Abdul Majeed (60), Kabil Hossain (52) and Shafiqul Islam (45). The name of another injured person is not known.

Eyewitnesses said that Abdul Majeed, Kabil Hossain and Shafikul were closing the shop around 10:30 pm. At that time, some people on motorcycles reached there and opened fire and later escaped by cutting them with indigenous weapons. They left the motorcycle and shotgun behind while fleeing. Police and army personnel went to the spot after receiving the information.

Reservation of train tickets in the name of individuals and organizations is stopped

Naogaon Superintendent of Police Qutab Uddin said that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the attack. Shotgun and motorcycle were recovered from the spot.
