Jumbangla Desk: Miscreants set fire to the office of Arani Union BNP in Rajshahi's Bagha at night. On Saturday (November 2) night, there was an incident of setting fire to the BNP office in the south of Jheena Railgate Bazar of the union. The balcony of the office, furniture and various items were burnt in the fire.
It is known that 17 years ago, the BNP office was established in a semi-paved house in Jhena Bazar. The activists did not sit in the office for a long time. After the fall of the government, activists started using the office.
Rafiqul Islam, guard of the market, said that the miscreants left with fire around 2 am. Later local residents came and put out the fire.
Adani Union Ward No. 3 BNP President Akkach Ali complained that the office has started being used after the movement of students and people. Everyone is trying to get along with the people of the party, but some people of Awami League are trying to exert influence. They are the ones who set the BNP office on fire.
Bagha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Siddique said, after receiving the complaint, the site was inspected. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
