According to the information of the police headquarters, at that time five thousand 829 weapons and six hundred six thousand 742 bullets were looted from the police, different police stations, prisons and different institutions. Among them, 3,763 weapons and 2,86,82 bullets were recovered. More than 2,000 weapons are still out of rescue.

AIG of Police Headquarters Inamul Haque Sagar said that 369 weapons have been recovered by joint forces from last September 4 till yesterday.

Many of the recovered weapons were deposited by those who looted them. However, he could not confirm whether these weapons included looted weapons of SSF or not.

Sources said that the identified terrorist forces of Geneva camp in Mohammadpur along with the identified terrorists in the surrounding area may have weapons looted from the police station and public buildings. Drug dealers and extortionist terrorists are engaged in bloody clashes after getting these weapons.


Meanwhile, after the arrest of Bania Sohail, who is involved in multiple murders in Mohammadpur, he has admitted that his forces have looted weapons during interrogation.

Apart from Geneva camp, terrorists have become reckless in Beribandh, Basila, Dhaka Udyan areas of Mohammadpur. In the last two and a half months, 12 people have been killed in Mohammadpur area including Geneva camp. Robbery, extortion is going on openly during the day. Common people are trying to return home before evening due to security risk.

Many are leaving the area with their families. In this situation, army, RAB, police are conducting a joint operation. After the joint operation began, many terrorists from the Geneva camp fled.

According to sources, on August 5, many terrorists from nearby areas including Geneva camp in Mohammadpur attacked Ganabhavan, Mohammadpur, Sherbanglanagar and Adabar police stations and looted weapons. Those who do not know how to use weapons sell many weapons for two to three thousand rupees. Information is also available that the terrorists who came out of the prison have collected weapons on this occasion.
