Jumbangla Desk: Writer and researcher Sharmin Ahmed, the eldest daughter of Tajuddin Ahmed commented that the time has come to reform the Awami League by excluding the Sheikh family. He said, 'those who want reform of Awami League, raise the call - Sheikh family should not be in Awami League anymore. They have harmed us greatly. A great loss to the country.'

Tajuddin Ahmed's daughter Sharmin said these things in an exclusive interview given to private independent television.

Sharmin Ahmad said that the Sheikh family should no longer be in the Awami League and said that the Sheikh family hijacked the Awami League after independence. They established patriarchy in the spirit of freedom and party banner.

The Tajuddin family is not willing to stand by the Awami League, which was disoriented after the killing of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family on August 15, but is not willing to stand by the Awami League, which is in crisis after the fall of the government in the popular uprising of the students on August 5.

Commenting that it is not easy to energize the corrupt party, Sharmin Ahmad said that after 75, when his mother started to bring Awami League to the path of democracy, Sheikh Hasina was brought from Delhi. After that, Awami League was no longer a party, it became a family.

Sharmin Ahmad said, 'It is very sad that she (Sheikh Hasina) was forming a family league. When he took the leadership, the identity of Awami League was lost day by day. Leaders and leaders who sacrificed well fell into the storm. Everything was sidelined. And then he established a dynasty, started pulling the banner of Awami League, used the banner of the liberation war.'

Commenting that Awami League turned into a mafia league, he said, 'Their characteristic is when looting, murder, extortion, money laundering are involved. If they can identify them, those who want to reform Awami League, they should raise the call - the Sheikh family should not be in Awami League anymore. They have done great damage to our country, great damage.'

Awami League has partially highlighted the history of the liberation war, Tajuddin Ahmed's eldest daughter said, the history of the Sheikh family has prevailed there.

In the interview, Sharmin Ahmed apologized to the people and called for the leaders to face justice.
