Sports Desk: The start of Bangladesh team's Afghanistan series has been somewhat challenging without two important players Nasum Ahmed and Nahid Rana. Due to visa complications, they could not go to the UAE with the team initially. Although the 13 players and coaching staff of the original team reached the Emirates in two parts last Saturday and Sunday, Nasum and Nahid had to wait in the country.

According to BCB, they will leave for the Emirates tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 am on an Emirates Airlines flight as the visa issue is over.
Bangladesh coach Phil Simmons is facing some challenge in arranging the XI due to the absence of these two cricketers in the first ODI. From the original squad of 15 members, the team has to be formed out of 13 members. They are expected to be available for the second ODI next Saturday, which is good news for the Bangladesh team.
In the absence of Shakib Al Hasan, Nasum Ahmed was included in the squad as a left-arm spinner. His experience and skills are expected to come in handy in the ODI format. Taking 12 wickets at 4.53 economy in 15 matches, this spinner can play an important role in the team's spin attack.
On the other hand, fast bowler Nahid Rana got a chance in the ODI team for the first time due to Tanzim Hasan Shakib's injury. However, he has to go through some difficult situations before his debut. Now he is hopeful that he will be able to join the team and enter the field soon.
