A former Chhatra Dal leader named Dulal Hossain in Purbachal of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj has been publicly accused of extortion. Sector 10 of Purbachal suburb and surrounding people are suffering from his pain. There are also accusations against him of extortion from shops and fish looting to extortion from drug spots.

It has been reported that hundreds of businessmen in sector number 10 of Purbachal suburb of Rupganj upazila have become hostages to Dulal Hossain. Since August 5, he has been extorting thousands of rupees from innocent small traders in the area.
Dulal and his associates are collecting a one-time fee of 50,000 taka and 10,000 taka monthly from the local pitha traders. If money is not paid, physical torture is done. For 13-14 years, 36 local families farmed fish in a lake in sector 10 of Purbachal. Recently, under the leadership of Dulal Hossain, nearly two and a half lakh fish were taken from that lake.
On the other hand, regular subscription is being collected from more than half a hundred shops in the Helipad area of Lengtar Shrine and Purbachal. Dulal Hossain and his associates have been doing this by defaming the names of the central leaders of BNP. They are being beaten up if they don't pay the demanded amount. If you protest, the force does not allow you to do business.
It is known that Dulal Hossain, son of Abdul Hai of Purbachal's Hararbari area, cheated the locals by getting them a plot. In 2003, the family left the area in anger against the fraud.
Recently Dulal Bahini is once again starting from drug control to terrorism, extortion and looting in Purbachal area. Shariful Islam has filed a complaint against this force in Rupganj police station. Dulal Hossain's daughter's scandal case did not leave him.
Rupganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Liakat Ali said, received a complaint. Police visited the spot. Legal action will be taken subject to investigation.
