BNP Vice Chairman Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury responded to the show cause notice issued by the party.
He gave a written reply to BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Thursday.
Ghiyas Uddin Quader Chowdhury said in a written reply, 'I received your condolence message issued on November 5 through WhatsApp. I am obliged to answer despite being under treatment abroad. I, my family and well-wishers are distressed by the notice received in view of the complaint of the said petitioner.'
Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, condemned Ghiyas Uddin Quader Chowdhury for various charges, including extortion from businessmen in Raujan, Chittagong, attack on Awami League leader's house. It is said that crores of extortion was collected by listing rich businessmen regardless of party affiliation in the area. CIP businessman Yasin living in Oman demanded a contribution of one and a half million taka, without receiving the contribution, Yasin's house was burnt by terrorists, CIP businessman Md. There is an allegation of turning Forkan into a town of terror in the area by brutal physical torture by terrorists without demanding one crore rupees from Forkan, loyal terrorists pouring extortion on shops, business establishments, businessmen of Rouzan who are staying abroad. Within three days, Ghiyas Uddin Quader wrote to the central office of the party. Instructions are given to answer.
Ghiyas Uddin Quader Chowdhury gave a written reply to the complaint within the stipulated time. He said, 'I consider the matters mentioned in the complaint to be a mean trick to humiliate me and my family in front of the public. The allegations are completely baseless, fabricated and motivated.'
Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury said, 'I have not given up on the party even after the Awami Roshanal for the past 17 years. I have successfully completed all the programs of the party by ignoring the bloodshed of the terrorists. I was on the side of BNP and its organizations, including the victims of cases and attacks due to the torture of Awami terrorists and the burial of martyred leaders and activists.
The leader of BNP said in response to Shokaj, raising the topic of torture on his family, 'It is widely accepted that my family has suffered the most torture after the Zia family in the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Even after that, I am holding Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP in my heart. The fallen dictatorship and its cronies, unable to resist me politically, consider this kind of propaganda against me as their last weapon. I will call all party leaders and workers through you to be aware and united against such conspiracies.'
He said, 'I want to say unequivocally, there is no opportunity to denigrate or question the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) or go beyond the decision of the party's high command. Someone has given false information about me or my family to the party high command for their personal gain. I have full confidence in the leadership of the Nationalist Party.'
