Two people were killed in a truck-motorcycle collision in Manikganj's Singair. The incident took place on the road in front of Talebpur High School in Talebpur Union of the upazila around 11:30 am on Friday.

The deceased are motorcycle driver Bandhan Hossain (18) son of Nur Hossain of Erta village in Talebpur union of Singair upazila and Ratul (25) son of deceased freedom fighter Pangku Mia of Garpara village of Sadar upazila.
Another rider, Laden Hossain (17), son of Rocket Dewan of Talebpur village, is seriously injured and is battling death at Savar Enam Medical Hospital.
Locals said, when the truck (Dhaka Metro-D-11-7913) from Singair reached Erta Road in front of Talebpur High School of the upazila, it collided head-on with a motorcycle with three riders driving recklessly from the opposite direction. Bandhan, the motorcyclist, died on the spot.
Locals rescued the other 2 motorcycle riders with serious injuries and took them to the Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared Ratul dead. Laden Hossain's condition was critical and referred to Dhaka for better treatment.
In this incident, the local crowd arrested the driver along with the truck and handed it over to the police. Truck driver Sohail (25), son of Hasem of Rasulpur village in the same area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singair Police Station Jahidul Islam Jahangir said that the driver along with the truck has been arrested in this incident. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
