Sports Desk: Sanjay Bangar was a member of India's 2003 World Cup final team. Before that, he could not even represent India for a long time. However, this time he has come back to the discussion for a different reason. Her son Ariane Banger recently transitioned to a girl, naming herself Anaya Banger.

Boy to Girl

Recently, Sanjay's son announced this news in a post on his social media. She is now a trans woman. He underwent hormone replacement therapy to change his gender. He said that he has been working on his gender change for the last 11 months.

Anaya himself was a cricketer like his father. However, he will not play cricket again due to gender transition. His post said, 'From a young age, cricket has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I watched my father play and coach for the country. I too dreamed of following his path. The passion, discipline and path he has shown has inspired me time and again. I started working to develop myself as a cricketer. I was hoping that one day I will be able to represent the country.

Due to the change of gender, his body has undergone many changes. As a result, he can no longer play. He wrote, 'I never thought I would give up dreaming of cricket. But I had to do it for real. As a trans woman who has undergone hormone therapy, my body has changed a lot. I keep losing muscle and my athletic abilities go away. The game I loved was slipping away from me.'

Anaya is currently in England. The England and Wales Cricket Board closed the door to trans women in cricket a few days ago. But Anaya wants to represent the country like her father. But cricket has no rules for trans women. That is why he also expressed warmth.
