Narayanganj announced a strike at noon on Sunday

On Friday (November 15) afternoon, he announced this program at a rally at Narayanganj Central Shaheed Minar in Chashadha of the city.

The organization announced a program of distributing leaflets, campaigning in educational institutions, exchanging views with citizens, processions, rallies and torchlight processions from October 29 to November 15 to demand a reduction in bus fares. If the demand is not met, it also announced a half-day strike on November 17.


The organization demands that the fare of non-AC buses on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route be fixed at a maximum of Tk 45 and AC bus fares at a maximum of Tk 65. At the same time, they have been demanding to halve the students' fees. Leaders of various political parties, professional, social, civic and cultural organizations of Narayanganj have taken a stand in favor of this movement. They also gave a memorandum to the District Commissioner to reduce the bus fare.

In the past few days, several meetings have been held under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner, Passenger Rights Forum, bus owners and some government departments. However, no final decision has been taken regarding the reduction in rent. As a result, the Passenger Rights Forum has decided to hold a half-day strike program on November 17.
