In four months, the development expenditure has decreased by Tk 10 thousand crores

Jumbangla Desk: During the first four months (July-October) of the financial year 2024-25, the implementation rate of the Annual Development Program (ADP) has decreased by about 10 thousand crore rupees. In these four months ADP implementation has been Tk 21978.17 crore or 7.90 percent.

In the same period of FY 2023-24 it was implemented at Tk 31692.26 crore. Accordingly, 9714.09 crore rupees or 30.65 percent decreased.

This information was revealed from the updated report of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Department (IMED) on Sunday (November 24).

According to IMED sources, in the last four months, the implementation of ADP has cost Rs 11,798 crore from internal sources, Rs 8,210 crore from foreign loans and Rs 1,970 crore from the implementing agency's own funds.

The size of ADP for the current financial year is Tk 2 lakh 78 thousand 288.90 crore. And the total number of projects is 1 thousand 352.


In the first four months of the last financial year, ministries and departments spent Tk 18813 crore from government funds. In the current financial year, this expenditure has decreased by about 7 thousand crore rupees.

Increased time for submission of asset account of government employees


In the first four months of the last financial year, the expenditure from the foreign aid sector decreased by Tk 3654 crore. However, the expenditure from the organizations' own financing has increased by Tk 955 crore.
