The court granted remand after arresting former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun in the same police station murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman gave this order on Monday (November 25) morning.

Earlier, Hasanul Haque Inu was arrested on August 26. At that time, according to DMP sources, he was arrested in a murder case filed at Newmarket police station.

After the July-August mass protests by the students, a murder case was filed against Inu in various police stations. In the meantime, he has been remanded in various police station murder cases. Currently in jail.

He had to face the International Criminal Tribunal in the case of murders committed in various police stations after the July-August mass protests by students.

Meanwhile, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun has also been arrested in various police stations of the capital. He has to face the International Criminal Tribunal. He is also on remand.

This morning, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman remanded him for 3 days in the murder case of Fazlul Karim under Uttara Purba police station.


Earlier, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was produced in court from prison. On this day, for the sake of proper investigation of the case, the investigating officer of the case and Uttara Zonal Team DB Police Inspector said. Mahmudur Rahman applied for his 10-day remand. The accused applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand. The state opposed bail. After the hearing, the judge granted a 3-day remand.

Former IGP of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was arrested on September 3. After 18 days remand in some cases, he was remanded for 43 days in 7 cases.

According to the statement of the case, Fazlul Karim took part in the anti-discrimination movement on August 5 at Jasim Uddin intersection near Dhaka Mymensingh Road under Uttara Purva police station of the capital. Fazlul and many others were injured in the firing by the accused at 4:30 pm. When he was taken to Bangladesh Kuwait Maitri Hospital around 9:19 PM, the doctor declared him dead. In this incident, Anwar Hossain Aynal (44), the brother of the victim, filed a murder case in Uttara Purba police station on August 21 in the name of 39 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In this case, Chowdhury Mamun is the named accused in the statement number 6.
