My Bangladesh Party (AB Party) member secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju said, 'The interim government cannot avoid the responsibility of the last few months of conflicts, clashes, instability and the division of the allies of the popular uprising.'

He said this in an emergency press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium at 3:30 pm on Tuesday.

He urged the government to take immediate action to rescue from such situation and remove the worries of the countrymen.

This press conference was held on the topic of concern and peace keeping in various parts of the country including Dhaka. The convener of the party, Professor Dr. answered various questions of the journalists. Major (retd) Abdul Wahab Minar.

In the press conference, Manju asked, 'Just three months ago, the students who united and fought against fascism risking their lives, protected each other's lives as shields, why are they now indulging in violence and shedding each other's blood? Why do the disenfranchised people have to do violent protests on the streets every day? Why is the tone of disunity and division so soon in the voice of the allies of the movement?'

He said, 'This government, formed through a successful mass coup at the cost of thousands of students' lives, has been indifferent to the unity of all parties involved in the movement since the beginning. They are not taking into account the concerns of people of all classes and professions regarding the rise in commodity prices. People of various classes and occupations have to come down to the streets every day to demand their rights, along with the injured fighters. However, these movements and demands could have been resolved by sitting on the table by creating a well-coordinated team on the part of the government. There is no proper solution to the complaints of extortion and usurpation in various places.

Expressing disappointment over the bloody clashes between students of educational institutions over trivial reasons, he said the negligence of the intelligence and law enforcement agencies is very evident here. Misunderstandings about mass gatherings of non-violent popular uprisings could also have been resolved if the government had taken proactive measures. The issue of those aggrieved over the past roles of some national newspapers could also be resolved through dialogue.

Manju also said, 'After the end of the last 15 years of extreme anarchist rule, the countrymen hoped that peace would gradually return everywhere. But the conspirators supported by the fallen fascism are repeatedly trying to create anarchy in the country, the government is not able to take any preemptive action against those conspiracies but sometimes tries to avoid the responsibility by alienating its allied powers and calling them friends of the conspirators.'

Criticizing the government's law and order policy in the press conference, it is said that there is no such thing as softness in state governance, but it is desirable to follow the principle of accuracy for justice and fairness. In spite of all public support, spirit of revolution, great power and authority. It will be very sad if a popular personality like Yunus who won the Nobel Peace Prize cannot bring peace to the country.

A proposal was made by the AB party to create a compromise charter based on patience and tolerance to all parties involved in the mass coup without looking at the government. The AB Party announced that it will soon take steps to prepare a 'Mass Upheaval Charter' with all the anti-discrimination students.

Also present in the press conference were- Party Joint Convenor Advocate Ghulam Farooq, Senior Assistant Member Secretary ABM Khalid Hasan, Aminul Islam FCA, Metropolitan North Convenor Altaf Hossain, Youth Party Convener Shahadatullah Tutul, Assistant Member Secretary Shah Abdur Rahman, Siddiqur Rahman, Dhaka Metropolitan South Joint Convenor. Gazi Nasir, Member Secretary of Metropolitan North Salim Khan, Central Committee member Sultana Razia, Shahinoor Akhtar Sheela, Amena Begum, Sumaiya Sharmin Farhana and various leaders of central and metropolitan areas.
