Syeda Rizwana Hasan, adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Climate Change and Water Resources, said that no unnecessary project will be taken up in the name of Boro Fosal Raksha Dam, which harms the environment. In one word - the dam will be constructed while protecting the environment.

He said these things while visiting various hoards of the upazila, including Tanguar, Boro Fosli Matiyain under the Ramsar project of Tahirpur in Sunamganj on Tuesday.

Expressing concern, the adviser said, as we saw polythene in Howrah, we are undertaking a plan in this regard. We are making a plan on how to maintain the environment of Howrah.

He also said that strict action will be taken if anyone makes irregularities in the construction of Boro Crop Protection Dam in Howrah. The dam work will be completed on time.

Tangua's Howrah tourism activities will continue, but it will be controlled and adequately monitored, the adviser said, noting that millions of people in Howrah are dependent on boro crops. We all need to be careful; So that the farmers can harvest the golden rice before the big flood.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Sunamganj Water Development Board (PUBO) authorities told Jugantar that 1700 kilometers of dams will be constructed to protect the boro crops of 134 haars in various upazilas including Tahirpur of the district during the boro season this year.
