However, those who are going to the mountain with a bike need special caution. Along with that, it is necessary to have some experience in riding a bike.

However, despite having experience, many bikers make several mistakes before riding a mountain bike. Know which mistakes to avoid-

>> First of all make sure if your bike is suitable for mountain roads or not. Use a suitable bike for riding on hilly roads. Off-road or adventure bikes perform well on such roads. Tire grip should be good, especially dual-purpose tires.

>> Many times the bike chain is lubed the moment before going for a ride, in that case the lube cannot go properly between the chain, that's why it is very important to clean and lube the chain properly a day before going for a ride.

>> When you take a break while riding a mountain bike, check that all your bike bags are properly secured. Otherwise there is a possibility of danger in riding the bike.

>> Negative thoughts should be completely removed from the head. Be in a cheerful mood. No worries on the road. Keep your attention on the road at all times. Reduce speed when turning. Bends on mountain roads can be quite dangerous. Note road conditions (mud, rocks, potholes). Keep in mind the possibility of vehicles coming from both directions.

>> Check the brake system thoroughly. Check whether the clutch and gear are working properly. Check that the headlights, taillights, and signal lights are working properly. Keep the bike's fuel tank full and carry emergency equipment (eg, toolkit, spare tube, pump).

>> Ensure personal protection. Helmet is mandatory. Use gloves, jacket, knee and elbow guards. Dress appropriately for sun, cold or rain.

>> Use speed and brake. Don't ride too fast. Use the engine brake to slow down downhill. Using only the hand brake can cause it to heat up and lose its effectiveness.

>> Check the weather forecast. Roads can be slippery in rain or fog. Be prepared for sudden weather changes.

>> Carry local road maps and emergency contact numbers for emergency contact. Keep the mobile phone fully charged and carry a power bank if possible. It is safer to go with an experienced guide or companion than to go alone.
