Miringa Valley of Bandarban

As soon as you reach the top, the embrace with that eternal void makes all the pain worthwhile. Along with this, if you add the view of Fenil Sea in the horizon, Miringa Valley will wake up in the scene. Known as the second Sajek, this place has already struck a chord with travelers.

Lama Upazila belongs to Bandarban district in the south-eastern part of Bangladesh. On the other hand, Lama is located on the Chakria to Alikadam road in Cox's Bazar. One of the main tourist centers of this upazila is Mirinja Valley full of natural beauty. The location of the valley is about 1,500 feet above sea level.

Not much is known about the origin of the name Miringa Valley, but Miringa Tourism Complex was inaugurated on 17 September 2003 with about 16 acres of hilly land. The complex is the main cause of the popularity of the place, even though it has been visited by adventurers before. On the top of the southern tip of Miringa Hill is the famous Titanic Ship sculpture built in brick, which was inaugurated on 19 April 2005.

The most interesting thing here is the wonderful interaction of mountains and clouds. For this reason, tourists are currently calling the tourist center as the second Sajek Valley.

After climbing to the top through the hilly roads or trails, you can see the cloudy tourist complex, vast green forests across the huge mountains with the Sangu river. This peak is a perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunset. From here, the turbulent waters of the Bay of Bengal in Cox's Bazar can be seen on the horizon. Along with that, the lighthouse is visible, the world's longest beach is illuminated in a narrow line by its dim light.

Extending the range of fascination a little further, sometimes a couple of ships float in that line. The Titanic ship structure at the southern end of the hill is also one of the main attractions here. A total of 11 communities including Mro, Tripura, Marma live in the upazila town near the tourist center.

Miringa Valley Tourist Center is spread over two acres of hilly land. The center has to go through a crooked road from Lama town. Miringa Valley is about seven kilometers from Lama town. Two bamboo huts have been built as an eco-friendly eco-resort high on the hill.

Apart from this, a few tents have been placed under the open sky for the convenience of tourists. In addition to this, arrangements have been made for the tourists in the night, including chicken fry, biryani and other food items. There is a lot of security around the center. Although it was planned to be built in 2021, it was implemented in 2022.
