The incident took place on Wednesday (November 27) at 3:30 am in Mohammadpur's Chand Udyan Lautla area at house number 10 on road number 8.

The caretaker of the house filed a written complaint at Mohammadpur police station in this incident.

It is known that a group of 30-40 people armed with indigenous weapons entered the tinshed house by ladder at 3:30 pm on Wednesday. At that time, they broke the CCTV cameras inside the house and took everyone hostage inside a room with sharp weapons. After entering each room, the members of the dacoit team ransacked the furniture including refrigerator, TV, electric sewing machine, gold ornaments.


Nasima Begum, who is in charge of the caretaker of the house, said that around 3:30 pm yesterday, 10-15 people entered my house with domestic sharp weapons and took me hostage. After that, they vandalized all the cupboards, racks, TV and took money and gold ornaments in my room. At this time, we were all locked in a room in the house. Five tenants in the house broke into everyone's house and looted everything.

He also said that the bandits made me a beggar on the street with all the house deed documents and cash bought elsewhere with my hard-earned money.

Another tenant, Kulsum Shikder, said, "Fridge, electric sewing machine, gold ornaments and money were taken from my house. Also the rice, pulses and furniture inside the house were taken away. Nothing left.

The tenants named Chandni Akhter, Rina Begum and Abeda Khatun said the same thing. The members of the dacoit group locked the two gates of the house and locked the tenants inside and left with all the goods in the car.

The owner of the house, Al Meena Begum, said, today (Thursday) around 5 am, the people of my house called me and told me that there was a robbery at my house. They entered the house and took all the money, gold ornaments and all the furniture of the tenants. When I got the news, I quickly came home and saw that the members of the robber gang had broken the CCTV camera in the house. In this incident, the manager of my house went to Mohammadpur police station and filed a written complaint. I seek maximum assistance from the law enforcement agencies to arrest those involved in this incident.

Mohammadpur Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Hafizur Rahman said, "We are investigating the matter and taking legal action quickly."
