How people of Bangladesh, including student organizations, madrassas and political parties, worked for the safety of minorities during the recent Durga Puja. Even after the brutal and provocative killing of lawyer Saiful Islam in Chittagong, the Muslims of Bangladesh have shown infinite restraint and patience.

In a post given on his verified Facebook page on Friday, Adviser on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of the Interim Government Professor Asif Nazrul said these things.

In that post, he mentioned a survey by Voice of America's Bangla division and wrote that most of the people of Bangladesh (64.1 percent) think that the interim government is able to provide more security to the country's minorities than the previous Awami League government. This was seen in the Voice of America Bangla survey published yesterday.

India's unwarranted concern over the situation in Bangladesh does not stop - he commented that numerous incidents of brutality are happening on the people of the minority Muslim community in India's own soil. But they have no shame or regret about it. This duplicity of India is reprehensible and offensive.

Incidentally, lawyer Saiful Islam was hacked to death in the court premises in Chittagong due to the arrest of ISKCON leader Chinmoy. In this incident, a storm of condemnation is blowing across the country.
