He said that at the beginning of Ashwin, after harvesting the 3 bigha land, Aman planted potato seeds in advance. Out of which 23 percent of the potato is harvested in 55 days. 600 to 700 kg of potatoes will be. Excluding the expenses, the profit will be about 40 thousand rupees. No other crop yields so much profit in a short period of time.

Potato farmers of the same village, Mozammel 3 bigha, Tarikul 5 bigha, Hazrat Ali 7 bigha, are sowing potatoes early in the hope of more profit. They said that potatoes should be planted early with the risk of floods and rains. This time, as the weather is favorable and the agriculture office advises, bumper yield of potatoes is expected. Upazila Agriculture Officer Lokman Alam said that the target of potato cultivation has been set on 6,700 hectares of land this year.
