It may move further west-northwestward and cross the North Tamil Nadu coast on Saturday afternoon.


The bulletin also said maximum sustained wind speed within 54 km of the cyclone center is 62 kmph, increasing to 88 kmph in gusty or gusty form. In this situation, all the fishing boats and trawlers stationed in North Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to move carefully near the coast till further instructions.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (ADM) has said in its latest news that Cyclone Finjal will pass over the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast. Wind speed will be 70 to 80 kmph in and around Karaikal and Mahabalipuram during its passage, with gustiness up to 90 kmph.
