Shakib Al Hasan has already retired from two formats for the national team. Only one day cricket is left. New news came in the discussion about not keeping Shakib in the squad for the ongoing West Indies tour of the national team.

According to a media of the country, Shakib has given three conditions to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to continue playing for the national team. The conditions are – unfreezing of his bank account, guarantee of playing on the country's soil and guarantee of smooth arrival and departure from the country.
It is now to be seen whether BCB will accept these conditions and keep him in the Windies series team.
However, none of Shakib's three conditions actually fall under BCB's jurisdiction. Shakib's bank account has been frozen by the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU). It is an organization of Bangladesh Bank. It has nothing to do with BCB.
BCB may request the apex government regarding Shakib's remaining two conditions. However, BCB does not have the authority or opportunity to guarantee those too.
Therefore, the chances of BCB accepting these conditions are weak, according to the stakeholders.
Incidentally, since the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, the party's former member of parliament Shakib has been in exile. He wanted to play the last Test of his career at home against South Africa in October but later backed out.
